Free Radio Santa Cruz Back to Full Power
by Uncle Dennis

After suffering a near miss from a lightning strike in May, Free Radio Santa Cruz - 101.3 FM - has returned to full power operation.
Free Radio Santa Cruz is back to full power. In May the station suffered from a near miss lightning strike that destroyed the transmitter. Engineers got the back-up 10 Watt transmitter on the air a few weeks later after having to repair it. A new transmitter is now up and running and listeners in most parts of the north county should again be able to pick us up.

Thanks to a very generous donor, FRSC was able to purchase the new transmitter and get it on the air. The collective is very thankful for the support we have received from the community over the past 17 years. With your continued support, FRSC pledges to continue to provide alternative news, views and music.

Please visit our website: to find our current schedule, how to support us and how to become a Free Radio programmer.

You can listen to the FRSC live webstream by clicking on the red dot on the antenna on our web page, use the link for FRSC at or by typing: into your internet music player.

Free Radio Santa Cruz 101.3 FM is your local, independent, pirate radio - Thank you for your support.
