Bait and Switch TV: Investigative Satire is a documentary TV series that strives to make you laugh
about the serious issues and controversies that affect us all... What this new independent internet TV channel does is continually put a controversy in focus while asking the audience to consider:

HOW DO ANY OF US KNOW WHAT'S TRUE ANYMORE?

We collect and organize deep-dive evidence and positions on both sides of an issue for your review, never dumbing it down, and deliberately punching it up with levity, animation, and music to help make some dire or dreary news and views easier to consume. Then we schedule LIVE DEBATES with experts on both sides of the issues we examined in the TV shows to INCLUDE you in the conversation. This allows YOU to interview the experts and policy makers directly. You can also use our HEATED DEBATES to interact with other viewers and points of view, or vote on the issues.

Unlike mainstream news gatherers, we trust you, the audience, to stick with the investigation of a complex, longterm issue with the option of learning more and getting personally involved. Then we invite you to actually get involved with these issues and controversies, which affect us all, when the outcome or direction of the controversy matters to you.

DEMOCRACY IS MORE THAN TOEING A POLITICAL PARTY'S LINE

In this banking episode, we take on the financial crisis and there is much evidence to support the view that both political parties have been attending the Federal Reserve's big money bash these many years. So, on the political spectrum, there are countless controversies to bone up on, most of them anything but black and white. Because there is so much divisiveness over so many of these issues, Bait and Switch TV strives to find the path on which opposing positions can meet, laugh, and together, find inroads to the decision-making structures that only seem to serve lobbyists and power brokers. We need to stand together! There is so much at stake now, and the time has come to take a firm hold on our democracy, out health, our sciences, and our economy, or lose it all.

Our US constitution and free market system have led to the greatest individual liberty, prosperity, freedom, power, honor, and security ever known to humankind. But the people in this country are considered too stupid to understand "the issues", and so many mainstream depictions of the controversies and important issues in our cultural landscape are either polarized to the point of absurdity or dumbed down to the point of irrelevance, allowing only those in power to have access to the facts to re-purpose as they wish. We can do better than this!

Let's become more informed, to laugh and learn together, and to be more directly engaged in our representational democracy. This is how TV can become truly interactive! Let's stand behind the American belief in a free-market supply and demand system, but one that also advocates an informed populace, fairness, and a capitalism enacted with conscience and integrity.

WE CAN DO BETTER THAN THIS

To the left are some of the controversies and issues Bait and Switch TV is working on--feel free to debate and comment on these issues (and episodes) in our HEATED DEBATES forum, make requests (we're listening!), suggest other episode topics, upload videos, jokes, and political cartoons, help with research, become a sponsor, and/or send us information! We want to be a reflection of what our viewers/users think and feel!
We are 100% volunteer and depend on your participation to sustain our efforts!
