Thu Apr 28 5:30-9:30pm Gasland exposes environmental damages caused by the process of extracting natural gas known as “fracking”. Thousands of families have had their water contaminated. The main company involved in this practice in the US is Halliburton. A recently drilled nearby Pennsylvania town reports that residents are able to light their drinking water on fire. This is just one of the many absurd and astonishing revelations of a new country called GASLAND.
There will be a potluck dinner also.
Afterwards, at 7:00, we will show The Economics of Happiness
