Support requested to repair Black Mesa work truck
Two of our friends have been living at Black Mesa since November, providing direct on-land support to Pauline Whitesinger, a traditional Dine' elder and outspoken relocation resister. They herd sheep, tend the animals, chop wood, haul water, and run regular errands for Pauline. Both are long-time volunteers who have spent many winters at Black Mesa.
These friends recently purchased a truck that they are going to leave year-round at Black Mesa as a much-needed work vehicle for volunteer supporters. Shortly after purchasing the truck, it broke down, and they didn't have the money to fix it. Because having a reliable mode of transportation is crucial to providing support, they borrowed the $400 needed from a neighbor of Pauline's. They want very much to pay it back promptly but don't have any way to raise money while at Black Mesa.
We are trying to raise the money for them. Please donate if you can! Your donation will go directly to paying this loan back, and it will help maintain direct support to Pauline and other families and elders still standing their ground at Black Mesa.
Donations can be made using a debit/credit card or bank account, and will be processed securely.
