International Day Against Homophobia/Kiss-In
Pics and video of the International Day Against Homophobia Kiss-In at the corner of Castro and Market Streets in San Francisco.
On May 17th 2010 the groups Gay’s Without Borders and the Rainbow World Fund hosted a Kiss-In at the corner of Castro and Market Streets in San Francisco to educate and show society that homophobia has no place in our world. The Kiss-In provided opportunities to educate the public about the devastating effects that transphobia and homophobia have on our communities.
May 17th has become known as the International Day Against Homophobia, or IDAHO because it was on that day the World Health Organization removed homosexuality from its list of mental illnesses.
