Joe Alioto-Veronese starts campaign for the California Senate at Bayview Hunters Point

by Francisco Da Costa
Joe Alioto-Veronese started his campaign for the California Senate seat by visiting the Bayview Hunters Point - and began his campaign at ground zero at Middle-Point. Joe has been visiting the community and knows how much this community hurts. As a police officer he is fully aware of the problems, as the Police Commissioner he has done his best for the community. As a California Senator - we hope that he will being a breath of fresh air to this polluted community.

Joe Alito-Veronese started his campaign for the California Senate at Middle Point in the Bayview Hunters Point.

His mother Angela Alioto-Veronese introduced Joe and in his opening remarks Joe reminded all that he was named after his grandfather who is well known in the Bayview Hunters Point.

The Elder Mayor Joe Alioto would visit the Bayview Hunters Point accompanied by his daughter Angela Alioto - the mother of Joe Alioto Veronese.

In plain view of the now shut Hunters Point Power plant, a short distance from the Lennar Project, and right in the middle of Public Housing - Joe, explained how his family helped shut the power plant, how his family is working on the present suit against Lennar BVHP LLC, and how he feels about the adverse impacts and Public Housing.

It was nice to see the whole Alioto family surround Joe and support him Italian style.

There were a number of folks present and some leading community leaders.

Joe has visited the Town Hall meetings held every Thursday at the Grace Tabernacle Community Church, in the Bayview Hunters Point and has talked and listened to many of the folks that are suffering in our community.

Joe is a community person and will never say no if he can be of any help.

Unlike, the other candidates Joe has come to the community that has been neglected. We will work hard to put him in the Senate and when he wins - we hope he will bring fresh air to this polluted community.

While, the other candidates have not uttered a word about Lennar BVHP LLC and the on going pollution, Joe has supported us against Lennar BVHP LLC and Lennar's cronies. While we are suffering - Joe has come to our rescue and taken the time to listen to the victims.

We wish him the very best. We are waiting to greet and call him Senator Joe Alioto Veronese.
