Police Officer Attacked!
A police officer was attacked on Pacific Avenue Tuesday evening, the first night of a concerted city effort to crack down on bad behavior downtown. Allegedly, an unidentified rookie cop was ticketing someone, when an assailant hit him in the back of the head, then punched him in the face! The cop fell to his knees, then fought back. Another officer on foot patrol nearby rushed to the scene, and the pair held the assailant until a third officer arrived.
Sentinel coverage is, of course, sycophantic lackeyism to the police:

Attacking individual cops may not be the most effective of tactics at resisting the police state, but it shows more than anything else that we're still alive, despite being ground the heel of the jackboot! It's sad to hear that the cop only sustained minor injuries, while the alleged assailant has been thrown in jail at $50,000 bond, facing charges of "aggravated" felony assault. The Crackdown initiated by City Council will continue, let's see what violence may ensue!

Hence, the City itself has created this problem by concentrating homeless people in a small area.
Now they are conducting an economic and social cleansing of the undesirables on the front page of the Sentinel ----and guess what??? THEY are the victims!!
The day when the front page of the Sentinel says "Homeless Man attacked by heavily-armed officer" will be the day when we get fair and balanced coverage in the Sentinel.
For homeless people who are being victimized in this process, I urge you to contact HUFF, add your name to the list of plaintiffs in a federal law suit to stop the City anti-homeless sweep.
