Cal State East Bay: We Are Still Here!
a letter to all campus activists
Hello All Campuses!
so today (2/15) there is a strike against the war, yet we at cal state east bay (more importantly my club alliance for social justice) have not heard a word about it. we have had many events against the war and if you check the news this week we are helping out with Queerfest. none the less, WE WANT TO BE INVOLVED!!! add my email to your lists, spread the word, lets start networking! CAL STATE EAST BAY IS HERE TO FIGHT!
we are planning a huge walk out regarding student fees around may, but we want to get with more campuses about the war, please contact me, i am especially looking for students at san jose state, sf state and uc berkeley but even if you are farther away i would love to set up events.
cal state east bay is a dead campus, but we and a few other organizations are changing this.

Check the santa cruz page and the anti-war page on a regular basis. and please keep posting. :)
(also, be careful that organizing on your campus doesn't get taken over by one of the socialist groups that have an agenda and want everything organized "their way)

The first response suggested that the Cal State e-Bay org. be wary of '' Socialist groups '' taking them over. Ok , i'm against any groups strong arming and trying to dominate local student progressives .But also be wary of Democratic party affilated groups that have far more $and clout than the I.S.O. , R.C.P., A.N.S.W.E.R. , Sparts, etc. combined . Like Moveon.org . I attended one of their house meetings last night . They say nothing about Afghanistan, The almost certain upcoming attack on Iran, Lt. Watada and other military resisters, they don't even call for cutting off funds for the war ! They just called for writing letters to Congress against the ''surge ''ie esclation .
So sure, be skeptical of any alliances you might join . Ask hard questions of EVERYONE ! But at least make sure the groups involved are really against war and miltarism . The D.P. sure isn't .
