PINK OPPORTUNITY
Give Peace A VOTE - Peacemakers Needed!
Join us as we gather signatures for the Voters Pledge for Peace throughout the San
Francisco Bay Area at gallery and movie openings, at concert and music festivals -
"I will not vote for or support any candidate for Congress or President who does not
make a speedy end to the war in Iraq, and preventing any future war of aggression, a
public position in his or her campaign."
The peace pledge makes visible a powerful political force, the peace vote, a force
that politicians cannot continue to ignore. It sends a clear message to the hawkish
minority that leads both major parties to end the occupation of Iraq and to end
unprovoked attacks on other nations.
Join us at the Give Peace A VOTE Peacemaker gathering on Tuesday September 26, 2006
7:00-8:30pm at the Global Exchange office in San Francisco's Mission District. We
will snack on Mediterranean food, discuss strategies for collecting signatures,
learn about upcoming opportunities for collecting signatures with other peacemakers,
tour the CODEPINK national office and watch the short CODEPINK movie so that we can
leave revitalized and refreshed. This will be a great networking opportunity so to
meet other peacemakers from the Bay Area and, if you want, work with each other to
meet your goal of collecting 100 signatures.
Sign the pledge: http://www.givepeaceavote.org
