Fun, irreverent festival in Berkeley on Sunday!

Here are the details:

Come and help Berkeley celebrate itself in one of the most colorful, irreverent, and fun events on the west coast. The Eleventh Annual "How Berkeley!?" Parade kicks off on Sunday, September 17, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. It starts at the corner of California and University Avenue and proceeds up University Avenue to Shattuck, turns right on Shattuck to Center Street and then goes down Center Street two blocks, where it ends in Civic Center Park. Anywhere along that route is a fine place to watch the parade. Traffic on University Avenue is restricted so please take public transportation. The downtown Berkeley BART station is on the parade route on Shattuck Avenue.

The Festival for the Eleventh Annual "How Berkeley Can You Be?" event begins at 12:00 P.M. on September 17, 2006 and is the termination point for the Grand Parade Civic Center Park, (Martin Luther King Park), in between Martin Luther King Way and Milvia, Center and Allston Way, in the heart of downtown Berkeley. Included in the Festival is an outdoor stage with wonderful live music and dance, food and drink booths, crafts, non-profits, and children's activities. This year's main stage lineup includes:

* L.A.E. (hip hop)
* Cuatro Caminos (latin groove/rock)
* Hot Pink Feathers (samba dance)
* Blue Bone Express (New Orleans marching band)
* Raw Deluxe (funk/jazz)
* The Phenomenauts (cosmic rockabilly)
* CODEPINK and Give Peace a Vote!
