Jailed independent journalist Josh Wolf and his attorneys held a press conference in San Francisco today following his release from Federal Prison. He had been held for one month since he refused to turn over raw video footage to a Federal Grand Jury, which is apparently investigating an alleged broken tail light suffered by a SFPD police car during a 2005 anti-G8 protest. Wolf and his attorneys argue that the SFPD has turned this local investigation over to federal authorities in order to avoid California's reporter shield law.
