The truth is Ugly.

Pictures of the War are Ugly, they are not gross as in this definition from Webster’s;
gravely deficient in civility or decency : crudely vulgar

Pictures of the victims of war are not being shown by the MSM, guess why. They are real.

The US is directly involved with financing, arming and urging Israel on in their attacks of Lebanon, Why?

We have an election coming up, is this war, any war that the US is directly involved with a distraction to our activism?

Without 9/11, would we even be at war in the Middle East? So why is there so much information and questions that the askers get attacked for asking, why are videos withheld, why was the FAA ordered to not investigate any of the plane crash sites? Why, why, why? And Why again? And who has what to gain by obscuring the Pentagon films and attacking those with honest questions about the whole affair and the hand picked not independent investigation committee?

What is real activism, what are the distractions that are put out there to keep us busy and occupied?

I am a moderator on several progressive groups and these are questions I have to deal with in keeping my groups on topic and getting ‘the job’ done verses. This is part of a conversation, edited so that I could share it. I haven’t raised hell on the group boards in days, forgive me for this onslaught.


Long post, bear with me please. Some of this is as a moderator of groups, some is personal opinion.

I remember something more about this conversation some time ago. I think we settled on asking the group to post graphic pictures in the subject line so that people have a choice about seeing some mothers little kid half blown apart when they open the message. So, if we are going to send posts like this, let’s label them as such in the subject line.

I'm not for sugar coating war, the grosser people realize it really is, the more likely they will take a stand. Ask a Vet.

When Viet Nam was just numbers on TV, our obligatory 5 minutes of reality was over and we were back watching Star Trek and Laugh In. But when the gore hit the TV screen, we hit the streets.
The government knows that and the MSM isn't doing what they did then, unless the next prez is someone that doesn't give them as many goodies as this one did. Then they will show reality.

I note that almost nothing from the MSM comes out of Afghanistan these days, which is having something 50 civilian deaths a day, or Iraq, who is having 200 deaths a day, hardly even a peep, they've used this as a smoke a mirrors here in the English speaking nations. Get foreign press? Nope they don't have the smoke and mirrors, we do, but they have their own versions, want to bet their MSM is owned by many of the same people ours is?

The Graphic Pictures are reality and aren't contributing to the smoke and mirrors. As much as I hate seeing the stuff, we are responsible because Bush and our country is supplying nearly all of Israel's military budget, OUR tax dollars at work, rushing them jets, fuel and weapons that can't be gotten that fast to any engagement in Iraq, then this fucker was planned, and planned by those controlling both the US and the Israeli Governments, and it has our name on it.
It takes 6 months after an engagement is paned, to order what is needed, make it and deliver it to the field so it can be used. Not a week.
We own it, we best deal with it.

Israel does an un-humanitarian act, using our welfare dollars to their State, using our welfare military items, they are doing it in our name with our blessing.
Face it, it isn't Americans being killed so many people aren't as concerned, but it is the next step into taking over the Middle East and we will lose and lose big, without nukes there is no way to subdue them and with nukes we all lose, as our planet loses, and this administration could care less about rising waters, Radiation poisoning and DU……… they have portable wealth.
You can move, but then you'll have to by housing from the Corporate interests (bankers) who are so much a part of this. They win, we lose. A direct hit might be more merciful.

Got a problem with how certain people present the War(sss) to us? Do as Linda and I do, agree with the stuff that is correct and point out the smoke and mirrors. If everyone knows your posts are only attacks on other people or posts, people got bored and no one reads either of those posts after a short while, so nothing like activism occurs, just wasted electrons and my precious time.

If you can tie an article about Dafour and Ethiopia to ‘Bush and his merry band of killers’, their policies concerning them or any other nations, then post it, it is on topic for a group that is specifically Anti-Bush.

Israel and the Middle East was off topic when it was just bashing the Israeli's and Palestinians and there was no connection to Bush and his merry ban of .......

Racism and religious attacks are still off topic, they do nothing but help the disinformation agents who wish to disrupt any group making progress in their activism. Don’t contribute to it.

The outcome of this scenario in the Middle East, is that under Bush's Command, we as the US Corporate interest, are trying to get Syria involved.
Lebanon and Syria are in-between the oil and water pipes lines from Northern Iraq that had been planned BEFORE 911, by Cheney and Rumsfeld.
If by chance they can get Iran involved, they plan on leveling them too, they could give a fuck about people, they want anything they can turn into portable wealth. They hide behind our Flag, they do not support or protect it, or our Constitution.

If Israel crushes the Hezbollah, then there will be something else coming up to ensure the continual warfare and reasons to do as they have already planned, they have to have that oil and water from Iraq to turn Israel into the garden of Eden, and as stated in some other article I read back in 2003 before we invaded Iraq, that means even if they pave over the original one. If we impeach Bush, Cheney, Rummy and so on, we still will have to deal with the people that put them in office.

Did you notice the grass roots campaign in 04? Everyone that the people liked, of the top 5-6 candidates, the DNC turned the list upside down, we had #5 run for Prez and #3 for VP. We were told the others couldn't get the funding... now why would that be? They might actually be free to do and vote as they wish, is why.
Both parties are owned, otherwise our whole fucking government couldn't be owned and used like the puppet we are now.

As far as I am concerned, take back your party, I tell both the Dems and the Repo's, you have to take back your party if you want to take back your representatives and your government. No third party will get funded and or allowed to debate, I saw that in the last 4 Presidential elections, anyone with a chance isn't let in, anyone that will make both the Dems and Repo's look better is allowed to debate.

This then leaves the genre of governments and is back to those that have taken control of our country, with Bush as their front man, the Multi National Military Industrial Complex and Mega Corporations.
That war has been on since, well I don't know how long this group has been at it, but they keep morphing group names, just like making the PNAC and then dissolving it when they have that agenda done, then a new group comes up and influences the government, and when they have their agenda done, they disappear, but those same members keep reappearing in all those group and as people die off new recruits fill and expand the gaps and the agenda.
Bilderberg (bound to be a few disinformation sites in here, nothing is as it appears, it seems) laid this out pretty well and this has been on the march since about 1740.
Jefferson complained about it, Lincoln complained about it, Eisenhower complained about it. None have been able to stop it, why? Cause we aren't looking at the men behind the curtains.
Every war the US has been in has been financed or promoted by these people, they also were behind both French Revolutions. You'll just have to read about them and their financing of that and the American Revolution, seems they didn't like that phrase of Jefferson's... "WE the People", really, they cut off funding to the revolutionary armies until they were assured they’d have a good portion of control too. Jefferson, it appears, counted on another revolution to get rid of them, but no one listened, or if they did, no action came of it. Sounds like today, doesn’t it?

Bush is the front man to the military enforcement of these corporate plans.
Gawd how I hate to see horrible things printed about my Country, which reflects on all of us citizens, but if we only concentrate on the local races, the in house politics, then we are already lost, and I'm outta here, in fact, I had a life before Bush has the first election stolen for him, I might as well get a few nice months in before we are all done in.
We have to do both. Take back our parties, take back and elect representatives that represent us, take back our government and this is no small task, because we aren't the only government that is under corporate control, but if that is accomplished, at least we aren't contributing to the destruction of the human race and our world.

Don't know if I can regurgitate that blue/green pill of reality and truth, but I'd sure like to do something other than sit at this computer trying to keep groups safe enough to post and get the truth out and seen, and people to see the facts for themselves and get real on what is happening here and now.
Looks pretty close to the end to me. The folks with the money and power are knocking off one goal after another and haven't had hardly any resistance yet. We're all batting at the things we are given to keep us entertained. Flags, Gays and God in the Pledge, and the never ending immigration issue (bee going on since 1923 by one side of my families count, and buy another it was one of the big distraction issues of the Civil War era, you just don't hear about the Irish that were screwed out of their citizenship both before and during that war, we were the 'disposable dirt sucking peasant's' of the day then).

I thought I knew a lot of what was really happening before I got on the internet, involved in politics back in 1999. I've easily doubled my data, though it is really hard to dig it out of the constant entertainment and smoke and mirrors that comes from our Government, the other governments of the world and the lap dog MSM.
Just sit back and let them entertain you, want to see 'bad guys' get blown to bits? Sex? how about a food channel and Disney? Swearing Gangstas and Racial slurs, hatred, supplied at it's best?
Yeah team! We're going to hell in a hand basket with a smile that goes all the way to our asses.

Good points Gary, thanks for firing me up enough that I could look at all of this again and get some more perspective on it. and I agree with your last statement:
