IDA Needs More People for UCSF Demonstrations!
by In Defense of Animals
Wednesday Sep 28th, 2005 12:52 PM
The University of California San Francisco will pay one of the largest fines for animal rights violations in history and now is not the time to relax but to step up the pressure on USCF.
This Monday, IDA began a week of demonstrations at the University of California - San Francisco (UCSF). We timed this week of demonstrations to coincide with a story on the history of UCSF's animal welfare violations that will appear in Bay Guardian newspaper this Wednesday. During this week, IDA will concentrate on educating the public about the horrors of vivisection while encouraging insiders to "blow the whistle" on UCSF's animal cruelty.

What You Can Do

1. We need more people to join us for the rest of this week at UCSF. Please come in support of the animals for an hour or two.

What: Demonstrations against UCSF animal welfare violations
When: Monday, September 26th through Friday September 30th, 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. daily
Where: Main Entrance of UCSF Parnassus Campus, 513 Parnassus Avenue, San Francisco (click for a campus map)

2. IDA would like to keep the pressure on UCSF by doing twice-weekly demonstrations at the University following this week. Please join us for these events on a regular basis or whenever you are available.

Please contact Karen Steele at (415) 388 9641 ext. 217 or karen [at] to RSVP for a day and time you will be able to attend this week, and to let us know when you would be available for ongoing leafleting. Posters and leaflets will be provided.
