9/11 & Social Change "Searching for the Heart of Activism through The 9/11 Truth Movement"
by Carol Brouillet (cbrouillet [at] igc.org)
Tuesday Aug 23rd, 2005 1:27 PM
9-11 Truth activists speak about personal transformation, what moved them to become involved with the 9-11 Truth Movement, and their hopes for the transformation of the world. Coming from a wide range of backgrounds, they show how the truth about 9-11 can unify the vast majority of the world's people who desire peace, freedom, justice, and an end to state-sponsored terrorism and wars that benefit the few and rob the many.

9/11 & Social Change "Searching for the Heart of Ativism through The 9/11 Truth Movement"

Friday, August 26, 7pm, Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Hall (w/c accessible), 1924 Cedar at Bonita, Berkeley, California

Carol Brouillet, Ken Jenkins, Ralph Schoenman & Mya Shone will speak about what motivated them & drew them in social activism and ultimately into the 9/11 Truth Movement. They will share their transformative experiences and strategize how, by working together, we can heal our country and the world. They will reflect on their lives and the significance of the 9/11 Truth-movement for them.

Their range of experience varies dramatically, from sailing around the world on yachts with the future head of the Republican Party to working closely with Bertrand Russell as Secretary General of the International Tribunal on U.S. War Crimes in Indochina. Their skills and talents complement one another as they seek to nurture a social movement that challenges the paradigm of Fear, War, Corporate Rulewith one that respects and nurtures all people, Life. This is a chance for people to become more involved with the Northern California 9-11 truth Movement who are in the midst of organizing the fourth annual 9-11 Truth rally and march (Saturday, September 10th, beginning at 10 am at the Panhandle- between Oak and Fell @ Ashbury- to the 7th Annual 9-11 Power to the Peaceful Concert in Golden Gate Park), and along the theme of 9-11 Truth for Peace and Justice- Films, Dialogue, Discussions, Reflection- on September 11th, 9 am to 11 pm, in San Francisco's Veteran's War Memorial Building, and a 9-11 Film Festival Benefit for the Northern California 9-11 Truth Alliance and Project Censored, 1 pm to 11 pm in Oakland's Grand Lake Theater. As the official narrative of 9-11 crumbles and the credibility of the Administration plummets, an engaged, enlightened public is our best hope of steering our communities, our country, the world off of the war path.
