Rebuilding Palestinian Homes, Remembering Rachel Corrie
Rebuilding Palestinian Homes, Remembering Rachel Corrie
Help rebuild the Gaza home that Rachel Corrie gave her life to defend.
Our special guests:
Cindy and Craig Corrie - Rachel's parents
Samah and Khaled Nasrallah - The Palestinian family whose home Rachel was trying to protect
Friday, June 10
7:30 p.m.
First Presbyterian Church
1140 Cowper Street, Palo Alto
$10 - $20 sliding scale - Wheelchair accessible
A portion of the proceeds from this event will be used to rebuild the Nasrallah Family’s home, then the next home and the next in Gaza, where 3100 Palestinian homes have been demolished.
Cindy and Craig Corrie, Rachel’s parents, have become nationally known activists as they call on the U.S. government to "undertake a full, fair, and expeditious investigation into the death of Rachel Corrie” and work for a just peace in Palestine and Israel.
Samah and Khaled Nasrallah are part of the extended family that lived in the home Rachel sought to protect. Even after Rachel was killed, the complete demolition of all 2200 surrounding homes in their neighborhood went on. The Nasrallah family continued to live in their home for seven months before it, too, was destroyed.
This event is sponsored by Peninsula Peace and Justice Center, The Rebuilding Alliance and the Rachel Corrie Peace Foundation.
