It was on May 5, 2004, that the San Francisco Police Department killed 29
year-old Cammerin Boyd. Last night, Police Commissioner’s request for
information on the investigation was denied again. With hopes of seeing
justice finally served, the Justice for Cammerin Boyd Campaign is now
officially demanding a federal investigation.

In response to the delayed and biased investigation into Cammerin’s fatal
shooting, Boyd family members and activists began a postcard campaign
calling for intervention from the Department of Justice. The postcards
demand that United States Attorney Kevin Ryan launch an investigation into
the SFPD, and specifically, into Cammerin’s death. Marylon Boyd, mother
of Cammerin Boyd, will hand deliver several hundred postcards that have
thus far been collected.

The delays for justice come as no surprise with a department that has gone
10 years without indicting a single officer accused of taking a civilian
life. Family members and activists alike are outraged. Community
activist, Ralowe T. Ampu asks, “How have the conclusive proof of
wrongdoing from numerous witnesses, ballistics and forensic reports
managed to magically evade our ‘model’ criminal justice system? Which
crime is worse: the murder or the cover up?”

Marylon Boyd, mother of Cammerin Boyd says, “I will not rest until justice
is served. I only hope the feds will bring the truth to light and that
the officers involved will be brought to justice.”

Hey good idea ... have the Feds investigate this, and when they find it was a justifiable shooting, maybe you can get INTERPOL to do an investigation, perhaps you can't shoot at the police, and expect to live...what a revelation..
