Summation by Bayan International USA:

SF Bay Area M20 Report - Bayan International USA marched in solidarity with a 700+ strong Strength in Unity Third World People's contingent organized by the Filipinos for Global Justice Not War Coalition and the Asian Pacific Islander Coalition Against War.

More than 50 FilsGlobe members (including Committee for Human Rights in the Philippines and League of Filipino Students SFSU) joined the Strength in Unity contingent which assembled in the La Raza Mission District close to Dolores Park for a pre-rally which unified 30+ orgs representing national liberation struggles and all sectoral orgs against the war who endorsed our contingent.

Led by the Justice for Palestine Coalition and Korean Youth Cultural Center drummers and FilsGlobe chant leaders, our contingent then proceeded powerfully for eight blocks to meet the reportedly 60,000+ for the bigger march starting at Dolores where Bayan flags were highlighted and positioned at the front of the march.Ê Kawal delivered the Bayan solidarity message on the Dolores stage which reflected our calls and solidarity statement of which 1000 were distributed with the Bayan logo.

Our contingent stayed together positioned towards the front portion of the march where we repeated Palestinian and Filipino chants against U.S. imperialism and occupation. With our popular Tinkers Workshop allies providing the most powerful mobile sound projection of the day, you can here our contingent chanting,

"U.S. Imperialist! Number 1 Terrorist!
GMAs a puppet! And another part of it!"

for four blocks. Our contingent marched strong to Civic Center where
Ninotchka Rosco delivered a solidarity message on behalf of the
International League of Peoples Struggle (ILPS) and Gabriella. Upon
arriving at Civic Center, the Strength in Unity Contingent held position in
front of SF City Hall where a police line stood between us and a Pro Israeli Zionist contingent. We strongly condemned U.S. support for Isreali occupation in Palestine and expressed our international solidarity with the Palestinian struggle for land and national liberation.

In addition, contacts and ally building were made as many people and orgs were drawn to the culturally powerful chants and drums and especially our own Bay Area version of the South African Toyi-Toyi which generates an incredible level of energy through our contingent. New Bayan National Coordinators also set meetings with many key allies to strengthen our work in support of the National Democratic struggle of the Philippines.
