Wednesday, March 3 at 4 p.m.
Berkeley High School, Room A 105

Lisa Rudman, Director of the National Radio Project, will present a discussion of media disinformation and media literacy at Berkeley High School, Room A 105 (the Community theater building) to include showing of parts of Fear and Favor in the Newsroom with Studs Terkel.

This is the first presentation in a series organized by senior CAS student, Diego Kusnir, working with Retro Poll. It is directed particularly to high school students. Others are welcome to attend but should allow young people to have priority in discussion and questions. Future sessions will be announced at the presentation and will include: Mickey Huff and Marc Sapir discussing the role of corporate media polling in creating public opinion; Henry Norr former Chronicle reporter; Alison Weir director of If Americans Knew; Peter Phillips of Project Censored, Larry Bensky, of KPFA and journalism faculty at Hayward State and Stanford. There is no charge.
