Budd Hopkins in Sacramento on March 6

by Dan Bacher (danielbacher [at] hotmail.com)
Looking to go to a different type of event? Budd Hopkin's, a leading researcher into the UFO Abduction Phenomenon, will be in Sacramento on March 6. The UFO coverup is the most heavily suppressed aspect of the National Security State - and some progressives have been so thoroughly manipulated and "disinformed" by the Corporate Media that they too buy the government's bill of good on this issue. If you have an open and inquiring mind, don't miss seeing Budd Hopkins!

Leading Researcher into the UFO Abduction Phenomenon
to Visit Sacramento

Budd Hopkins pioneered the first systematic research into reports of human abductions by UFO occupants. His books have been among the most widely read, controversial and influential works ever written on the subject. For the past twenty-five years, Hopkins has worked with hundreds of abduction experiencers. His goal has been to bring an objective, dispassionate, scientific intelligence to bear on this strange phenomenon.

He will be on tour with his new book, Sight Unseen, in the Bay Area and in Sacramento from March 4 through March 7. He will be speaking at the Doubletree Hotel, 2001 Point West Way, in Sacramento on Saturday, March 6 at 1:30 pm.

Hopkins' 1981 ground-breaking book Missing Time was the first work to compare a number of UFO abduction cases, isolating the patterns inherent in the bizarre accounts. His second book, Intruders: the Incredible Visitation at Copley Woods, published by Random House in 1987, quickly became a national bestseller. A CBS television miniseries based on Hopkins' work, titled "Intruders," aired in 1992 and has since been broadcast internationally. His widely acclaimed third book, Witnessed: The True Story of the Brooklyn Bridge UFO Abductions, was published by Pocket Books/Simon and Schuster in 1996. So far, his books have been issued in one or more of fifteen languages.

Hopkins new book, Sight Unseen, co-written with his wife Carol Rainey, was released last fall by Atria/Simon and Schuster. Complete with dramatic, previously untold case histories, it demonstrates that the supposedly "impossible" feats reported by observers of unidentified flying objects are nearly within reach of our own human scientific capabilities.

"Sight Unseen shows us the edge of what science can explain and pushes us to the edge of the unexplained – and then points the way toward bridging the gap," says Dr. Don C. Donderi, Professor of Psychology at Mc Gill University. "This book will provoke its readers, both scientists and non-scientists, in every sense of that word."

"Full of subtle, naturalistic detail and dense, complex, novelistic portraits of transgenic beings, these stories demonstrate that the folklore of UFO abductions…has developed into one of the richest psychological literatures of our time," says Publishers Weekly.

Hopkins has appeared on hundreds of television and radio programs and has lectured throughout the world. Also an acclaimed artist, he lives and works in New York City.
