SF Forest Defenders!
Organizing Meeting for local San Franciscans involved in the struggle to save native forests working with North Coast Earth First!
Less than 5% of native forests still stand in America. A large private corporation, Maxxam Pacific Lumber, is leading the charge to deforest parts of Northern California. There are several direct action campaigns going on in Humboldt County and hopefully locally to counter the deforestation, clear cutting, logging for corporate greed of Maxxam-PL. Come to a meeting to learn about what you can do to stop the deforestation of California's redwood, douglas firs and protect natural habitat of endangered species.
