Would Ose censor the Bible?

Rep. Doug Ose wants to ban certain words & phrases from being broadcast. Does he realize that his law may prevent certain Bible verses from being recited on air?
DOES OSE PROPOSE CENSORING BIBLE?

U.S. Representative Doug Ose (R-CA) wants to banish certain "profanities" from the airwaves. By doing so, his law may prohibit certain Bible verses from being recited or read aloud on radio and TV.

Congressman Ose's bill, HR 3687, would prohibit broadcast of certain "profane" words and phrases. The bill provides that "the term 'profane', used with respect to language, includes the words 'shit', 'piss', 'fuck', 'cunt', 'asshole', and the phrases 'cock sucker', 'mother fucker', and 'ass hole', compound use (including hyphenated compounds) of such words and phrases with each other or with other words or phrases, and other grammatical forms of such words and phrases (including verb, adjective, gerund, participle, and infinitive forms)."

At least one of Ose's words, "piss", appears in the King James Bible. In one instance, the text refers to all those who "pisseth against the wall" -- that is all males, or at least all males beyond infancy. Perhaps the verb "to piss" wasn't considered obscene in 1611.

Does Ose realize he's banning parts of the Bible? I advise him to check his list against a concordance (word index) to the King James Bible, to see if any more of his banned words or phrases appear therein.

In British & Australian (as contrasted with American), the word "asshole" and the phrase "ass hole" would be "arsehole" and "arse hole", respectively. Does Ose mean to ban the Brit spellings and pronunciations, or merely the American? Does "other grammatical forms" include "other dialectal forms"?

Apparently "ass" and "arse", without that pesky hole, are okay by Ose. The linguistic complexities boggle my, um, whatever....
