Pacific Lumber would have you believe the biggest threat to timber jobs comes from environmentalists.

Yet, PL's own documents show that loss of timber jobs was part of their plan all along. As far back as 1987, PL knew that job loss and mill closures would be the result of drastically increasing their rate of cut.

While layoffs continue, nearly 100 million dollars per year are siphoned out of Humboldt County, leaving behind a divided community and dwindling resources.

Fraud is not a victimless crime.

A few comments from this post were provactive, misleading and off-topic. They appear to rightfully have been hidden. There was no discussion of what the public service announcement was about and no discussion critical of the findings from the psa. Debating donations to the grassroots should become your own posting if you wish for that type of topic to be had. These are the same non sequencial comments which appear over and over again.

Refuting the Pacific Meridian Report or the flaws in PL's liquidation practices is a more appropriate topic for this comment section.
