On the 200th anniversity of Haiti's Independence, a coup against Aristide expresses frustration with the government's continued selling out to American corporations and elitist Haitian ruling class..

Aristide initially represented the Haitian people, though a few years in office have made him another puppet of the Haitian wealthy elite and their American corporate benefactors..

Sugar and baseballs assembled in Haitian sweatshops are part of the issue, other plantation style export monoculture crops remove the people from their land and ability to grow their own food, plus introduce pesticides and damage the ecosystem/fish/lungs/etc,..

The 200th year anniversery of Haiti's independence from French slavocracy was celebrated with a declaration of solidarity against the ongoing oppression from corporate dominance..
