Warmest holiday greetings to all the friends of labor --

In solidarity with 70,000 strikers' families, the Council has launched
picket action at Safeway stores in every community on the Central Coast.
Picket action is 10 to 1 on Saturdays until January 10.

Volunteers are urgently needed. In Santa Cruz, call Malcom Terence at
429-3942. In Salinas Call Tony Acosta at 262-9278. In the Monterey
peninsula call the CLC office at 633-1869.

Our message is:

"Please don't shop Safeway! Support our grocery checkers as they HOLD THE LINE FOR HEALTHCARE."

What can my union or organization do?
The labor movement is asking every union to ADOPT A STORE. Commit to sending at least 3-4 people to picket actions at least once a week.
