"FEMALE 2 " - WOMEN IN THE NEW MILLENNIA

(San Francisco, CA December 15, 2003) - ArtSF is working to secure permanent space in San Francisco where emerging artists can produce and show their work. The organizations co-director, Kim Carlson (KC) says the mission is simple, "Keep Art in San Francisco ."

ArtSF works to secure outstanding space by inviting artists to hang their work, throwing huge events in collaboration with music and live performance and does not require payment in return for the exposure the artists receive. This non-profit organization is entirely funded by donations at the door and those donations go directly to the future purchase of a permanent community space for San Francisco's artists.

ArtSF is dedicated to the artists in San Francisco, emerging and established, in all mediums. Their next show,"FEMALE 2 " , is an open entry exhibit with a common theme - Women in the new millennia. It promises to be an outstanding evening with film, photography, painting, sculpture, and mixed media by more than forty-five visual artists, including Kristin Grahn, Amy Yvonne Yu, KC Carlson, Amber Maclean, Anabella Pinon, Erin Ashford and Laura Jacobs. The show will also feature various stage performance and live music by Marisa Handler and Regina Fontillo and DJ Eva, plus spoken word. Please join us at the show.
