We home care workers chopped by phony budget axe

Fresno county supervisors disrespectfully, unilaterally set our pay at $7.50/hourly with no union contract even though we voted 90% to join SEIU local 250. We had sought $10.50/hourly plus medical insurance. We had offered to compromise at $8.65 plus medical and $9.50 next year. Stockton just agreed to $8.50 plus medical and a training program.
Supervisor Bob Waterson whined that he had been threatened "thuglike" by a caller who said he would raise $20,000 to get Bob out of office. The real thuggery in this case is by the board of supervisors who have refused to give us home care workers a just contract.
