Energency Demo in Support Of Medical Marijuan Prisoners
This is an emergency alert from Americans for Safe Access.
There will be demonstrations in opposition to the
DEA's ongoing attack on medical marijuana on Tuesday,
May 27, at noon. The demonstrations will be in front
of federal buildings all over the US. In the San
Francisco Bay Area, the locations are:
Oakland Federal Building at 1301 Clay St. (at 12th
St.). Use the City Center/12th St. BART.
San Francisco Federal Building (rear entrance) on
Turk St. between Larkin and Polk. Remember that only
the Turk St. entrance is open due to construction. Use
the Civic Center BART.
Other cities Check our Internet web site at
http://www.SafeAccessNow.org for other locations.
These demonstrations are in response to the DEA arrest
of Gary and Anna Barrett in San Bernardino Co. The
Barretts have been outspoken advocates for medical
cannabis patients for many years. They are the latest
victims of a DEA policy of targeting those people who
take a public stand for medical cannabis. More than
forty other medical cannabis patients and caregivers
are facing federal prosecution right now.
We must not let this injustice pass without making our
voices heard. Please make a very special effort to
attend one of these demonstrations and bring others
with you. Our opposition is making a difference, but
we have to keep the pressure on.
