News Links for the mounting lies
Here are some great links I have found on the current events in Iraq and here in the US. Proof of the Lies!
Some things to ponder. My iBlog demo ran out. Until I crack it, here you go. A barrage. I am a truth addict.
1. Remember the final battle of Top Gun. When talking to my lord (better known as Dan) we realized that World War III was starting in the film. Not so cool. Anyway here is a great article on the staged Bush landing and commentary on Bush's AWOL during Vietnam in the National Guard.
"Was this, then, just a campaign stunt? Nah, Bush and Karl Rove wouldn't waste taxpayer money and exploit a war that claimed the lives of 128 Americans--and thousands of Iraqis--for crass political advantage. And Bush really did serve honorably in the Guard." - David Corn

Staged? Like the toppling of that statue of Saddam.

2. Some humor from the Onion. I didn't know this about Syria. Will they be next?
http://www.theonion.com/onion3916/syria_harboring.html
3. Iraq may not have been a threat after all? Now they tell us. The ongoing flip flop of discourse in order to consrtuct consent and manage Recieved Opinion. Diffusing myths and exposing lies.

"Nothing succeeds like success. Who cares about WMDs when you have Baghdad?" The ongoing lie.
Weapons of Mass Delusion by Katha Pollitt.

"But we now live easily with lies. 'As far as I'm concerned, we do not need to find any weapons of mass destruction to justify this war,'" - Robert Scheer writes on the abuse of success to ignore the fundamental lies of those in power. Ignorance is Bliss? Are We Numb or Dumb?

Why were we told that Saddam was going to kill us, if he had no WMDs?
They tell us now. No weapons to find.

I'll bet $20 that if public scrutiny comes to this fact, they will suddenly find WMDs or something related and that it will be under suspicious circumstances (ie. planted evidence). Anyone want to take that bet? I think it is one you are likely to lose.
That is why the US doesn't want the UN inspectors to come back.

If the Iraqis contest the US power and try to exercise the Right to Speech we are suposedly bringing to them; we shoot at them. (Remember the US troops are the ones with tanks)

Maybe they can use non-lethal methods?
Remeber the Non-Lethal Gas used in Russia? Truley lethal and Pentagon made

4. Rumsfeld has entered a new bill. Guess what it does? Give up? "Brace yourself. The Defense Secretary is pushing a 205-page bill through Congress that would:
* Strip Defense Department employees of their unions, whistleblower protections, annual pay raises, and rights to appeal disciplinary actions;
* Let the Defense Secretary dole out no-bid, no-oversight, no-accountability contracts worth billions (one observer calls it "the Halliburton Bill of Rights");
* Exempt the military from environmental and wildlife protection rules on more than 23 million acres of American lands;
* Free the Pentagon from dozens of requirements it report to Congress."

5. Speaking of the Environment. Matt Bivens brings to light the wastes of the EPA. The director is wasting their resources.

6. Maybe the EPA can help with this problem. Who wants to destroy a habitat for 39 minutes of oil? Don't raise all your hands at once. More daily outrage. I like the man vs. elk image.

7. Perhaps if we made Bush's "little bitty" tax cut even smaller we could preserve such things.
I can't believe he thinks his "compromized" tax cut is tiny. How does extreme defecit spending help our nation? Voodoo Economics.

Can you see how all these things fall into place? It paints quite a nasty picture. What are we expected to believe after we have been lied to so much? How can we trust anything. We must seek out reality for ourselves. I hope you enjoy some of this. I don't have the answers, I just like questions and paths. Remember what Timothy Leary said "Think for yourself, Question authority"
happy springtime,

"The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State."
- Joseph Goebbels,
German Minister of Propaganda, 1933-1945
