How to thank the french and germans.
Although this is not as visible as the protests, it is still important.

Let's not forget that France remains to this day the (second) most invasion-oriented government on earth (Cote d'Ivoire, Senegal, CAR, etc. etc.)
Thank the French and Germans for ruining the UN.
"Do this, or else. Now do it, or else. Really, do it or else. You're not doing it; do it or else. We really mean it this time; do it or else.... blah blah blah."
For you people out there who were for the inspections continuing, let me ask you a serious question. Saddam was only allowing the inspections and giving a little here and a little there because of the fact that the US military was at his border. This was costing the US $billions each month. And the soldiers would have needed to be cycled through -- nobody would want to be on notice in the desert for too long.
My question: would it have been fair to ask the French, Germans, Russians, et al to provide the military threat on the borders if the inspections were to continue?

W, it would help if you understood that the UN has rules that the U.S. has agreed to honor.
If the U.S. chooses to ignore the will of the UN, it would hardly be fair to expect other countries to bail us out.
And, what weapons of mass destruction? Billions of dollars spent on satellites photos, flyovers, the CIA Mossad and the Brit intel have added up to nothing.
Peace

I have a private protest breakfast with my daughter on the day of the protest we have whatever is French on the menu. I too am thankful to see that they have stood up the whole world should stand up against the tyranny of the United States Government.
You missed the point of my question. I was asking as if we could go back in time one month and revisit things.
