Support Authentic Journalism
Narco News is hosting the first School of Authentic Journalism, an intensive training course in Narco News-style muckraking for journalists and aspiring journalists, to be held in the Yucatán in February 2003. Please help support local participation in this hemisphere-wide project to promote radical, authentic journalism!
Two of the Bay's own have been selected to join Narco News' Authentic 25 students in the Yucatán this February for the Narco News School of Authentic Journalism: George Sanchez, a reporter with Mother Jones and the Center for Investigative Reporting, and Sunny, a local news reporter on San Francisco Liberation Radio 93.7 FM and part of the SF-IMC collective. They have only partial scholarships, though, as the full scholarships are being given to those who need them most, the reporters from the heart of Latin América. If you are interested in contributing money for airline tickets/food/lodging or helping fundraise, please e-mail sfschism@yahoo.com. Help support radical journalism!
