Santa Cruz Forest Being Cut After Rigorous Defense
After over a year of tree sitting in Ramsey Gulch, Redwood Empire has ammended their THP to cut down more trees that were once considered safe!
Santa Cruz Earth First! tree sat for over a year in Ramsey Gulch in order to save first and second growth redwoods in the beautiful Santa Cruz mountains just outside Corralitos. Redwood Empire quit logging on that THP and many trees had been spared. Now after a failed attempt by SCEF! to curb further logging in Ramsey II a year later, they have ammended their THP to include parts of Ramsey Gulch previously believed by SCEF! to be safe. This is a humiliating slap in the face to the family and memory of Robert 'Naya' Bryan, also known as Robin, who died four weeks ago protecting that very same forest, and caused SCEF! to discontinue the tree-sit in Ramsey II. Redwood Empire has no respect for the dead and for the trees, if they think they can profit off of Naya's tragic death.
