After a lengthy 17 day deliberation, California environmental activists Judi Bari and Darryl Cherney's federal civil rights lawsuit against four FBI agents and three Oakland Police officers ended in a victory for Earth First!
The jury awarded the plaintiffs $4.4 million for violations of their constitutional rights. Separate decisions were made on claims of 4th Amendment violations of false arrest and unlawful search, 1st Amendment violation, and conspiracy to violate the 1st Amendment.
