Thursday Apr 11th, 2002 7:40 PM
April 11, 2002 at Noon, outside the San Francisco Israeli Consulate, we enjoyed the third peace for Palestine rally in 7 days, this time sponsored by Tikkun, the name of a pro-Israel Jewish magazine that supports the state of Israel and a Palestinian state, and opposes Israel's war criminal, Ariel Sharon. The 200 or so people enjoyed speeches and music from the peace and civil rights movements.

In San Francisco, the beginning rally is at 11 a.m. at Dolores Park at 18th and Church Streets (16th ST BART) on April 20. At noon, we will march to the Civic Center for a large rally (Civic Center or Van Ness BART; Larkin and Grove Streets; the site of the garish gold-leafed domed City Hall, Civic Center Auditorium, the Main branch of the public library, the under-construction Asian Art Museum, a large state office building and the San Francisco civil courthouse. On the other side of City Hall is Van Ness Ave, the outstanding opera house and symphony hall, for all of you who may be unfamiliar with San Francisco).

The leaflet itself is very educational, and we desperately need to educate the American public about how their tax dollars are being spent on war. Please participate in whatever way you can. The economic and political crisis we are facing is massive and serious and we must fight back with a massive, anti-racist, pro-workingclass peace movement now.
We are 100% volunteer and depend on your participation to sustain our efforts!
