remote-controlled planes plans

by Admiral Lemnitzer
"Operation Northwoods":
The actual registered aircraft would be converted to a drone [a remotely controlled unmanned aircraft]”… “the destruction of (that) aircraft will be triggered by radio signal.”
about the book, "Body of Secrets":
-------------------------------------------

Its author is James Bamford. Bamford until recently was Washington Investigative Producer for ABC’s World News tonight with Peter Jennings. I learned of this book on ABC’s website.

Bamford’s information comes from interviews. With, for instance, the former dean of the U.S. intelligence community. And from government documents. It takes 80 pages to list Bamford’s more than 600 information sources.

Here’s the story. It’s 1962. John F. Kennedy is U.S. president. Robert McNamara is Secretary of Defence. And Admiral Lyman Lemnitzer heads the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff. The CIA has failed in its illegal Bay of Pigs invasion of Cuba.

JFK decides, Bamford writes, to back away from military solutions to the Cuban problem.

But Lemnitzer, the CIA and others at the top remain obsessed with Cuba. Writes Bamford: “As the Kennedy brothers appeared to suddenly ‘go soft’ on Cuba, Lemnitzer could see his opportunity to invade … quickly slipping away. …attempts to provoke the Cuban public to revolt seemed dead…”

Continues Bamford: “Lemnitzer and the other chiefs knew there was only one option left that would ensure their war. They would have to trick the American public and world opinion…”

Lemnitzer comes up with Operation Northwoods.

“We could blow up a U.S. ship in Guantanamo Bay and blame Cuba…casualty lists in U.S. newspapers would cause a helpful wave of national indignation.”

“We could develop a Communist Cuban terror campaign in the Miami area, in other Florida cities and even in Washington.”

An elaborate variation: create “an exact duplicate for a civil registered aircraft…” “At a designated time the duplicate would be…loaded with…selected passengers, all boarded under carefully prepared aliases. The actual registered aircraft would be converted to a drone [a remotely controlled unmanned aircraft]”… “the destruction of (that) aircraft will be triggered by radio signal.”

The Cubans would be blamed.

Finally, another variation is described by Bamford: “On February 20th, 1962 (John) Glenn was to lift off from Cape Canaveral…on his historic journey. Lemnitzer “proposed … that should the rocket explode and kill Glenn, ‘the objective is to provide irrevocable proof that…the fault lies with (Cuba)…” “by manufacturing various pieces of evidence which would prove electronic interference on the part of the Cubans.”

Thus, Bamford notes, “as NASA prepared to send the first American into space, the Joint Chiefs of Staff were preparing to use John Glenn’s possible death as a pretext to launch a war.”

The Operation Northwoods plan shows the Pentagon was capable, according to Bamford, “of launching a secret and bloody war of terrorism against their own country in order to trick the American public into supporting a (war on Cuba).”

Can we be sure, therefore, that complicity by the Pentagon in the events of Sept. 11th is entirely out of the question?

FUCK OFF FED TROLLS!!
by kronstadt
Everybody duck--here come the remote controlled CIA drone planes---bbbzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz- --BOOM!!!

I don't know what's funnier--the idea that the government is nervous about posters to this site revealing the truths about certain conspiracies; or some of the alleged conspiracies themselves.

As for the FBI, I wish they WOULD call me. I could use the money.

Before they do, I'll just have to entertain myself with this remote control 9/11 stuff. Instead of confronting the supremely comic implications of this "theory," my inquisitors just keep piling on the "evidence"; more and more links from, say, Quagley Quiggenbush, the CIA station chief in Tora Bora in the 1950s, who used remote control planes to pick up his laundry and thus set the stage for the 9/11 attacks--WHATEVER!!

Thus does ultra left/right paranoia reach its apogee-the notion that the government (oh, excuse me, "portions" of it) quite literally plotted to blow itself up.

The trouble with sitting in a poorly ventilated room in front of the Internet all day, my friends, is that eventually the fumes will get the best of your political acumen. I recommend daily exercise.

No analysis, no historical backup, no intelligent questions or comments. Just baseless ridicule!

Sound familiar?? Sounds like a politician or a COP.

Eh Krondastadt?????????

I think krostaat is right the money. this remote control stuff is totally crazy. Plus he's really funny.

"this remote control stuff is totally crazy"

Ya we know Fronnie, but we're not the crazy ones!! The crazy ones are the military and intel thugs who actually planned to crash remote-controlled planes.

Hasn't anyone read about Operation Northwoods??

People have got to do some reading. YOUR OPINIONS AREN'T WORTH ANYTHING IF YOU DON"T HAVE ANYTHING TO BACK THEM UP!!! You sound like any average American fool if you spout off opinions in ignorance.

Read about Operation Northwoods before you call us crazy:

After reading the posts by Krondstadt in which he stridently and sarcastically ridiculed the theories concerning the involvement of remote piloting in the 9/11 attacks, I can only respond that he is entitled to his opinions and beliefs and his abundantly evident capacity for displaying denial of a perfectly viable explanation for the events of that day. However, I must respond by offering some evidence that I have come across while surfing on the net that will contradict his smug assertions that remote control must be relegated to the domain of "supremely comic implications" cooked up by whacked out conspiracy nuts. The possibility that the airliners involved in the 9/11 attacks were under the remote control of persons othere than the pilots in the cockpits due to the HomeRun or other variants of the same systems is not without historical precedent. In 1984 there was a joint NASA/FAA experiment done in which a Boeing 720(similar to the 707)was deliberately sent diving into the ground to test the inflammability of a new Anti-misting Kerosene fuel. The aircraft was piloted by remote control via a ground based cockpit fitted with video monitors transmitting images from cameras mounted on the aircraft. This allowed the remote pilot to guide the 720 with almost pin-point precision to its target. The URL for websites with the corroborating information are:

http://www.aircrash.org/burnelli/720crsh1.htm

http://aviation-safety.net/pictures/gal-nasa.htm

http://www.worldnetcams.com/ac/aircraft6b.htm

Or if you wish, you may do a search on Google or any other search engine using any of the key words: NASA, FAA, 1984, Boeing 720, Remote Control, Crash Test

In addition, there is ample proof that remote control aircraft have existed previously to that example. The Himat(Highly Maneuverable Aircraft Technology)program run by NASA back then investigating new designs for ultra agile fighter aircraft was initiated in 1979. The Himat was a powered small scale model designed to fly by remote control from release at altitude by a mother aircraft to touchdown on the desert floor of the test range. The URLs for information on this program are:

http://www.boeing.com/companyoffices/history/bna/himat.htm

http://www.boeing.com/companyoffices/history/bna/himatdat.htm

Further information on the Himat program can be reached by using Google or any other search engine and typing in any of the keywords: NASA, Himat, 1979, Remote Control

These URLs should provide the irrefutable evidence that remote control aircraft have existed at least since the late 70's and exhibited a great deal of sophistication and accuracy of remote guidance even back then.

George Bush stated in a speech in NY on Sept 11, 2001 that he will increase funding to airlines to investigate technologies, existing in the far future which will allow air traffic controllers to foil terrorists in their attempts at hijacking by commandeering the aircraft by remote control and landing the aircraft safely. The above links should refute our alleged president's statements that such technologies do not yet exist to make such feats possible. These statements in essence mean that he is either supremely ignorant of the current state of the art in such technology, or (more likely)that he engaged in a deliberate coverup of information that could be potentially explosive in its implications should they become known to the public.

And finally, it should make Krondstadt eat his own words and maybe think a little more before he engages in juvenile and dismissive behavior towards the opinions and ideas of others. However, I will not be holding my breath since those of Krondstadt's particular kind tend to be extremely resistant to the truth if it does not fit into their narrow view of the world.

It is frightening to think that our government may be capable of treachery and malfeasance towards its own citizens, but we must be willing to consider the possibility in order to come to the truths whatever they may be concerning Sept 11 and most people may prefer to remain in a confort zone of ignorance of the world around them. But, as the saying goes, "What you don't know may end up hurting you." I would hope that the people of this country will shake off their stupor and jump off the tracks before the speeding locomotive of fascism runs over us all.

thats rigt! Of course, its possible

Take it from a space alien like me--this remote control stuff is right on the money.

Remote control technology has been around for a long time. It was very helpful when we built the pyramids. We didn't even have to leave Andromeda 6: we just programmed the robots and they did all the work for us!

And then there was that goofy robot named "Jesus" that we sent a while ago; he got so carried away he had people convinced he could turn water into wine. And when he pretended to be "dead" and "rose" a few days later, people were so spooked they started telling time by him! What a hoot!
