Sac journalist forced to delete pics of LAX

by R.V. Scheide / Sac News & Review
Homeland Insecurity

A Sacramento journalist is taken into custody by police and forced to destroy photos by an over-zealous National Guardsman. Apparently, the terrorists are indeed causing instability.

Does this man frighten you? The "suspicious" journalist shows his ticket and ID at Sacramento International Airport. The photos of LAX were ordered destroyed.

which are posted all around the airport security checkpoint, which say: "NO PHOTOS".

This is to stop people from taking photos and analyzing the security configuration.

According to the article (which you obviously didnt read), the only signs present were in regards to close-up photos of the x-ray machine (because it reveals the contents of people's luggage) and the luggage searching process (same reason.)

He asked the Natl Guard spokesman later, as well as an FAA spokesman and they both agreed that the NG and LAPD had no right to demand his notebook nor his photos.

So whats the problem ? New rules. He can go take some pics at the nearest heavy truck repair garage. I dont get it. You guys could have used playing football through your youth. Physical beings learn something through rough housing that then applys in real life later. You kids better lay low for a while. Shit aint going to get any better. If you live in the US and you really really hate it, you better move or be cool for a while. Dont know if you noticed but a foreign government attacked us and killed thousands. Unreal huh ? get used to it. Peace all.

Look you twit, if I wanted to live in some fucked up military dictatorship DON'T YOU THINK I'D HAVE MOVED TO ONE?

WE own the airports. WE own the streets. WE own the police. WE own the courts. Where's all that money come from, a motherfucking bake sale?

Airports are a public place, built with public money. Natl Guard wear uniforms, carry weapons, and drive in armored vehicles WE PAID FOR. LAPD - the same! WE are supposed to be the MASTERS, not the SLAVES.

Today it's the airports - tomorrow it'll be the banks, then the grocery stores, then the streets themselves. If the govt has nothing to hide (a massive military buildup, rude and totally out of line soldiers, unacceptable restrictions on the right to travel a private airline) behind the new "security checkpoints", then why are they so eager to keep it out of sight of as many people as possible?

Some heavily-armed asshole in fucking camo barking orders at a professional journalist to delete pictures of a public place and of G.I. Joe there.. maybe you're too young to remember East Germany (or have you just dropped it in Orwell's Memory Hole?), but this shit is straight out of the Reagan-era USSR and people need to see that!

There can be no Democracy without an informed citizenry. Only totalitarian dictators fear the free flow of information. If you don't believe me, look at China.

Matter of fact... if YOU love "security" so much, why dont YOU move to motherfucking China you tyrant piece of shit, and quit advocating the destruction of American freedom?

Lastly, I agree w/ Nessie - you clueless zombie fuck, we weren't attacked by a foreign government! We were attacked by 4-10 hijackers who died in the process, who may or may not have been helped by Osama and a few of his cohorts. THERE IS NO EVIDENCE FOR THE INVOLVEMENT OF A FOREIGN GOVERNMENT. But people like you suck down the West Wing's propaganda like a crack whore earning $20.

Your ignorance is a greater threat to this country than any bunch of suicidal hijackers. They only harmed 5,000. Thick-headed pack animals like you will harm millions.

The end has begun.

Wake up, people in america! All these right-wing trolls and apologists for state violence are called AMERICAN FASCISTS. In Europe, they've had a strong, militant anti-fascist movement for decades. Time to get one here. It is our only hope. This people aren't ignorant; they are dangerous.
by htk
C'mon. I'm worried about the increased authority of the government but this specific case sounds like a crying newsguy.

A new organization is put into place. Some Guardsman - who was probably in a classroom or factory or donut shop the day before - acted wrongly and the ad-hoc-just-put-together organization didn't know what to do and acted indecisive, erring on the side of excess caution.

The 'higher ups' admitted the error later and were probably right for not punishing the kid. Only real damage this time was to journalist ego.

Let's not get sidetracked by this trivial stuff. We should focus on the real issues such as 'material witness' holdings.

by anti-drug warrior
The journalist's article inadvertantly brings to light a possible tactic against the War on (some)Drugs (which is in fact a war on innocent American citizens). Many of these "drug warriors" are being brought out into the light of day as extra security for airports. It was even admitted by the National Guard spokesperson that the soldier in question was normally acting in the role of a drug interdiction (a polite phrase for classical piracy) agent, and was thus understandably camera shy.

Normally these creeps are hidden from public sight, but now they're easily sniffed out. Just start photographing Guardsmen until you find one who goes ballistic over it. Then just as the NG spokesman indicated.. gee, it might get awfully DANGEROUS for Johnny Bravo there if those photos to be PUBLISHED. Next time he's working undercover, one of his victims might recognize Johnny and bring a quick end to his cannabis-club-busting career.

Wouldn't that be a pity.

Eyes wide open. The world cloaked by politics of views aside. A group of terrorists trained by the talibanian government of afghanistan to express a view of disagreement of US policy, killed 6000 americans in a attack against US citizens. Read the book your eyes write brother. Politics have stained you.

No reason to have a panic attack. No salute for your surrender. Nothing noble in your fate. You dont have a clue about the fine mist that floats you through your days. The seemless illusion of freedom of living. So now you see the seems and you lose every ounce of nerve. You just cant take it. Well buck up citizen. Get a grip on your self. Increased security is the way of the future. No amount of hysterical paranoia by people freaked out at the seems is gonna allow gaps for those who would harm you. Whether you like it or not. Your inconformity is of your inability to deal with reality. Suck it up.

When it's American civilians dying, it's "terrorism". When it's Iraqi, Serbian, Bosnian, Chilean, Nacaraguan, Iranian, Palestinian, or Afghani civilians then it's "disagreement with US foreign policy".

Eyes wide shut, as usual.

Well you are right. When a different tribe attacks this mans tribe, this man attacks back. You may see yourself as higher than an ape , but I am not stuck there. I am free to ebb and tide , not bound to your dogmas. Keep your cancer gods out of the playground and no one gets hurt. Bring your Allah lovin inbred dogs into the playground and I and mine will drop them exhaling between heart beats. The current peace movement is akin to the kkk rallys me and mine ignore and deplore.
In controlled locations around the earth, religion may one day grow a flower for its history of thorns. Religion is cancer and obsession with death and destruction of liberty and personal autonomy. Once you stop howling at the moon and the sun shines over a planet with no inbred terrorist dogs. You arent gonna like me very much, Till then, Peace Brother. ( I use Brother assuming you are American of any color or any religion )

incorrect. the group of terrorists were trained by the USA to express a view of disagreement of Soviet occupation. They then saw the USA's occupation of Saudi Arabia as being in the same vein as the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan. 6000 people were not killed either. Where do you get your facts from? I was going to assume the daily news(TM) but since you claim 6000 deaths you must just be making stuff up on the fly. Its all good though, if you keep doing that you're bound to get educated sooner or later.
by Danny W Thomas (cavedan [at] danworld.com)
You dont look at the facts. You insist upon your vision. Dont accept that your microscopic view of what is happening is the established reality. Your quibble with numbers is ludicrous. For years osama and his pal qada have been killing my family of Americans. Not one of the 20 hijackers were trained by any visible or invisible worker from the US military. Look Bob. If you cant take the freekin heat then go to Negril for a year. It'll all be over and you can have your Forkin pictures back.
Search me scan me print me picture me probe me shake me feel me I'm American. New deal. Or same smell different nostril as my friends and I say and laugh strolling the back forty acres smoking the sweet new buds of late fall.
