Mayor of SF warned EIGHT HOURS BEFORE attacks
Willie's got friends in (very)high places, apparently.
The San Francisco Chronicle reported on
Wednesday that Mayor Willie Brown had been
warned about the attack eight hours before it
happened. The Mayor claimed that his "airport
security people" called and told him to postpone
his planned trip to New York City.
However, when the deputy head of security at
San Francisco's SFO airport was asked about the
warning, he said there had been no FAA advisories
to relay to the Mayor.
The story was reported by Matier&Ross, who
are essentially city-hall gossip columnists,
and was confirmed by Mayor Brown.
