How much does the US government pay the corporations who own the prisons for each prisoner? A few bucks? Hardly worth feeding them. Just increase poverty by shifting jobs

May as well just use them for their calories and dispose of them when they have been laboured to death in hell by the corporations. Makes good business sense.

Ask the CEOs of General Motors, Ford, IBM, JP Morgan Bank, Chase Manhatten Bank, American Express, Coca Cola, Alcoa, Esson, ITT and all the dozens of other US Fortune 500 firms who invested in the IG Farben cartel, and who backed both sides in WW2 to profiteer so handsomely, in the death and destruction of millions.
