Anti-Bombing Protest (Audio)
Audio from emergency protest against bombing of Iraq
About 60 protestors gathered at bus Powell and Market St at 5:00pm on Friday to decry the recent US bombing of Iraq. Reports indicate that two civilians were killed and 20 injured in the attack while the "military target" claimed by the US has yet to be confirmed as hit. Meanwhile in Dever a national mibilization to end the war against Iraq is conveing (see http://www.ccmep.org).
Pretesters proclimed, "we are here today to protest the latest U.S. attack n the people of Iraq...this attck is an escallation of the U.S. war on the Iraqi people carried out with sanctions and bombings for over 10 years."
