ACTION NEEDED: Urge the Mayor to Support Healthy Saturdays
Healthy Saturdays legislation passed the Board of Supervisors but the Mayor still holds the ultimate power, as he can either support or veto it in the next week. Please contact the Mayor at 554-7111 or gavin.newsom@sfgov.org and tell him you want Healthy Saturdays in the Park!

All over the nation, Latinos spilled into the streets on Monday, May 1st, unified in their demands for immigrant human rights. Sesenbrenner probably would have never guessed that proposing HR4437 would have sparked such a historical reclaiming of May Day in the United States. Along 24th street in the Mission District, where many businesses and community organizations were closed, it really did feel like a day without immigrants. Signs displayed on doors showed support for the cause, “Closed:...

This is an essay which goes into detail about the Battlecry Youth gatherings. G.W. Bush is part of this maniacal cult that promotes wars against Muslim countries, with young "christian soldiers" doing the fighting, laws that take away women's rights to make decisions about their bodies, and other anti-sexual and homophobic ideas......

Hunters Point Power Plant will soon be decommissioned. We are hoping the same will happen with Mirant Power Plant by Dog Patch. We are concerned now about abatement issues and have discussed some of them at the Stakeholders' Meeting. With some reliable Transmission Lines in place we do not want added toxic spewing fuel assisted Combustion Turbines. 3 are slated to be placed at Pier 80 on land prone to liquefaction and more very toxic ground. We should take a holistic approach when it comes to...

The San Francisco Redevelopment Agency (SFRA) is the most corrupt quasi-State agency and continues to adversely impact thousands of innocent people all over San Francisco. SFRA is about BLIGHT, taking property, and using tax increment to fleece neighborhoods and our City. A through investigation of SFRA will reveal how corrupt this organization is. Again and again SFRA has fostered corruption and our SF Board of Supervisors continues to tolerate this corrupt agency. Time to investigate the ac...

The Big One will come and that fact has been made very clear by many experts. Foremost the United States Geological Survey Agency. I have studied the maps for the last 15 years and what I see from the maps and very recent data makes the situation at hand very serious. As human beings we can take the precaution and wait. We cannot defeat Mother Nature - we saw that with the Tsunami and we saw it with the recent major Earthquakes. The pity is that we have inept City Officials in San Francisco t...
