Upcoming Coalition for Justice and Accountability Activities

As you all know, a man died yesterday after being Tasered by a San Jose Police Officer. The Human Rights Commission of the City of San Jose will be having their special FORUM on Tasers on Thursday August 18, 2005 from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm at the Old City Hall, Council Chambers- second floor, 801 North First Street, San Jose, CA 95110. In preparation for that meeting, we are having a special meeting of CJA on Monday August 15, 2005 at 5:30pm. PIZZA will be provided. If you are able to attend this meeting, please rsvp to me by Monday 8-15, so we have enough pizza for folks. Prior to that meeting, can we all review the notes from the study session, as well as our postion paper?? The purpose of the meeting is to divide up the most important points regarding tasers so that we can speak to this issues at the Taser Forum.
