Young activists who protested near the Mexico/United States border were cheered on by hundreds on both sides of the international boundary at Nogales, Mexico on July 22. They were able to cross into the US as asylum seekers; their hope is to soon be released from an ICE detention center in Arizona on humanitarian grounds as they all have long standing ties to the US. 6 of the 9 are being held in solitary confinement.The group has drawn world wide attention as they press for the need for meaningful immigration reform. Photos here were taken on July 25 as immigrant rights activists met in Mountain View, California and rallied support for the group called "Dream 9".
