Add comment on:Where are the vouchers for the 180/180 project coming from?
John E. Colby
For some time, I have been attempting to determine who funds, operates and administers the 180/180 Housing First project. I submitted California Public Records Act (CPRA) requests to the City and County of Santa Cruz, to no avail. I asked former Mayor Don Lane — who once said he was directing his efforts away from the Homeless Services Center Board of Directors towards the 180/180 project — to open up a public discussion about 180/180. Don Lane claims — like every other government homeless advocate — that he has no role in the 180/180 project. Questions: who funds, operates and administers the 180/180 Housing First project? Someone in local government must, but who? Please read the PDF email correspondence with the Santa Cruz County Housing Authority.
