Students occupy Athens Polytechnic during media blackout
indyradio.nu
Athens Indymedia and campus radio broadcasts were unplugged by Greek authorities in direct retaliation for the takeover of campus buildings by protesting students. The man responsible for the shutdown, Simos Simopoulos, subsequently disappeared, calling in sick, while the occupation of unversity offices continues, and not in silence, because the students have established alternate connections for both radio and internet and the news is beginning to leak out, in spite of a blackade by the mass media.
