Deep in the sacred grove in Oshogbo, Osun State, Nigeria the plans for our 150th Anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation light up the sky with shooting stars from the heavens providing a light for a good way forward. Not long ago, a bottle of gin provided the consideration for 4-5 captured human beings in a transaction of sale. We must return to the scene of the crime and move towards the start of a new path, September 22, 1862. Today, the journey remains incomplete, yet we can reflect on the bridges that have brought us thus far along our way home.
