Add comment on:Postal Workers and Customers Demand: No Cuts to Service!
Despite what you may have heard, the Postal Service isn’t broke. Nor is it losing billions of dollars a year delivering the mail. And a taxpayer bailout isn’t imminent. Reduced services are being presented as a foregone conclusion, but they’re not. Today postal workers from the National Association of Letter Carriers and the Raging Grannies joined forces to send a message to the nation and its Congress. In Palo Alto 60 postal workers and 6 Raging Grannies demonstrated in front of the office of Congresswoman Anna Eshoo. Anna Eshoo is a co-sponsor of HR 1351 and for that they thanked her...and called out the mostly Republican congress members who have not signed it. Nancy Pelosi has said she will not sign it because of her position as minority leader in Congress.
