CALTRAIN is something we must NOT take for granted - not with less funding sent its way.
by Francisco Da Costa
Caltrain is one train system that thousands of people all these years have taken - because they like it and over the last five years at least - it has fine tuned itself and gotten faster and reliable. Some of us love the bullet trains and many of us can get to a far off place in a little less then an hour - accomplish our job and be back in San Francisco - for some more rides to Mountainview, Stanford, and the even as far as the end of the line - where garlic grows in abundance. Now, there is serious talk to cut some stations - there is talk to speed up and electrify the system - but, in due time - in the name of budgetary cuts - something that works - can be gone, never to be resurrected.
