On the 45th anniversary of the assassination of Malcolm X, a packed house at the Humanist Hall in Oakland raised over $1000 to support Mumia Abu-Jamal with a benefit for Prison Radio. Carol Seligman, Pam Afrika, Fred Hampton Jr., Ramona Afrika, Jack Heyman, Richard Brown, Noelle Hanrahan, JR Valrey, Jack Bryson, and Adimu Madyun spoke at the event sponsored by Prison Radio, the Labor Action Committee to Free Mumia Abu-Jamal, and Prisoners of Conscience Committee (POCC).
