Community Confronts BART Board for Attacking Oscar Grant's Friends, 2/11/10: audio and photos
dave id
At the full BART Board of Directors' meeting on February 11th, 2010, community activists confronted the Board for BART's recent media leaks and statements from their PR machine attacking the friends of Oscar Grant who were abused themselves by BART police when Oscar Grant was shot in the back and killed. Fake flowers were presented to the Board to symbolize BART's fake sympathy for the victims of BART police, and as a recognition that on the anniversary of his murder BART Director Carole Ward Allen gave Oscar Grant's family flowers on a stage paid for by the family, not BART, just weeks before BART began attacking Oscar Grant's family and friends in the corporate media.
