Lennar a Rogue Developer for the longest time has taken over former Department of Defense bases for little money and developed them with little or NO clean up. Lennar thought they could do the same with Treasure Island but that deal is now going to be a real fight. Recent changes in Congress mandate a case by case adjudication and NO bases can be conveyed cheaply. In the case of Treasure Island the figure arrived at is $240,000,000. The City and County of San Francisco has now to fork up the money.
