Cpt. Greg Suhr gets $139k in demotion pay

Captain Greg Suhr of the San Francisco police department was demoted by Chief Fong in 2009 for failing to report domestic violence in a timely fashion. Suhr had been strongly criticized for stark mishandling of the police response to the 2005 G8 protest in the Mission district. At issue was Captain Suhr outright dishonesty about the status of radio communications between the heavyhanded parade response team which he lead and regular patrol cars in the neighborhood.
